It’s a mystery to me how a creator makes a decision to change or add to the bodies they support. Assuming the pack comes with all the body versions in one folder instead of sold separately at the vendor where purchase data would be available, how is the decision made? A survey? Relying on friends? Requests? Complaints? I ask because I love this tweed jacket (very Chanel-ish) and had to have it in my SLife. But for the first time, one of my favorite SL brands doesn’t support my body of choice (Legacy Perky) for this item. I have asked if this is a permanent change. We shall see.
So it got me thinking. What data points would be used to help a creator decide to cut bait and alter support for a popular (presumably?) body. To be clear, it’s 100% their prerogative to do whatever they like on the platform, of course.
Instead of the tweed option, I picked up this buttery leather jacket and sweater from amias available at Fameshed. I so appreciate when a creator supports a wider-range of mesh bodies. I understand that it’s extra work, but assume the price reflects that effort. Anyway, I could probably make the Maitreya Petite version of the jacket work with some alpha magic – or hell, I guess I could switch back to my older body. But then…that’s more effort for me too 😉
