It’s been a while since I started a post with a pun. In this case, I couldn’t resist. It’s like I’m turning into my mom. God help me.

I used to be positively polkadot averse. I was also absolutely anti-floral. I’ll even admit to having previously gagged at the color green. These are all things that I accept or even adore now (if it’s olive green, anyway) – in the right places. Incidentally, I still mostly stay away from purple and am iffy about using red liberally. But in this case, I saw this belted dress from David Heather – no idea when it was originally released – while I was looking for something else (that I never found) at the cavernous main store. The combination of shimmery cream and puffed sleeves compelled a quick “click to buy” – even though the dresses were mismarked so if you go looking, be careful to check the hover text BEFORE you click the cream color on the rack; that one will only serve you cranberry. Blech!
Other things that set the tone for this style — the simple ballet flats still on from this post (different fatpack color this time), new hair from Doux and an irresistible new face from Glam Affair; shown with 2x blush, just like her real life typist.
