Powder Pack for LeLutka really hit the spot this month for me. You may recall I was still on the fence with this subscription box and whether I would continue with it after this third LeLutka pack. Once I saw the list of participating creators, I was in. For the most part, I was not disappointed.
Smart Spend
Not surprisingly, my picks for this month’s Powder Pack are the skins. And there are 6 (!!!) skins in this one. 4 of them are eminently wearable for me – including a great skin from Mudskin (one of my favorites!) and my all time <3, Glam Affair. That makes the reserved price of $1500L so much more worth it. You can still get this Powder Pack, but it will cost you $3000L now.
I don’t care how much you like makeup IRL. There is just no way to get as much enjoyment out of pixel eyeshadows and glosses as we do from the real thing. For one thing, you can’t organize them on your vanity so you can see and play with them like you can IRL. But skins – well that makes this subscription particularly smart if you’re into curating different beauty looks. In addition to skins and makeups, there are also hairbases, eyes, eyebrows, and freckles you might enjoy as well.
Speaking of enjoying, I was really going to enjoy this cute jumper from NYU (I even demo’d it and loved it – but clearly I should have demo’d the top too). When you wear the Maitreya version with the available Maitreya t-shirt, the shirt pokes through the jumper in a couple spots. Disappointing! I hope there’s a fix soon.
