IDK about you, but this RL typist has no issue admitting that her avatar surpasses her own RL beauty – especially as the years go by. I did LOL at these cheeky “self help” books from Neutral Tones available at The Fifty. They are intended to be decorative but for the purposes of this blog entry, I glued the book awkwardly to my avatar’s tiny hand.
I’m sure the debate about SL avatars reflecting their RL typists accurately is finally played out. I have been blogging on and off for almost two decades, so it’s true, I no longer look like my just out of grad school self 😉 BUT, I still enjoy the process of styling my avatar and her RL typist. Maybe style – or at least the desire to express it – transcends the medium. I love a good self help book these days.
