my “black friday”

I was away last week for Thanksgiving but I installed SL on my laptop just so I could take advantage of any good deals for “black Friday.” In all, I would say I was restrained. Not just because my laptop doesn’t run SL well mind you, but because with the insane “weekend sales” – I have very little appetite for more. I mean seriously. Sales seem to have completely sucked the air out of my desire to spend any serious amount of time bargain hunting. In short, there’s nothing left to “hunt.”

This probably sounds like a complaint. But it’s not. Not really anyway. It’s just one more thing that has lost some of its luster for me. That and the fact that AI seems to have completely morphed many skin creator ads into a creepy army of “NO, it doesn’t look like that in game…” samesy images. Geesh. It’s turning me off big time.

I visited ISON (and a couple other creators) to grab this older dress updated for the Legacy Perky body, and a few skin and hair shops to grab some inventory I had missed or overlooked. I also stocked up on body skins from the new Luna line at The Skinnery. But tbh, I didn’t do the damage to my L$ balance I normally do. The “TJ Maxx” model has definitely impacted my overall excitement for this time of year in SL.

Maybe 2024 will make SL shopping special again? #MSSA

ps – Maitreya LaraX is here. I’m delighted to have received it as an update but I’m not that excited about changing bodies again atm. We shall see!
