nail bliss

I love having my nails done IRL (and in SL ofc). In both lives, I favor short, almond shapes and dark, matte polishes in the fall and winter. IRL my favorites are a deep matte navy from Static Nails or the nearly black navy matte from Dazzle Dry. Obsessed.

In Second Life, I rarely buy nails, even though I consider them them for each style. But, I also rarely rely on the nails/polishes on my Legacy Perky body. I prefer add-on mesh nails and I greatly prefer mesh nails that utilize PBR.

Yesterday, I was browsing the Sense event catalogue on Seraphim and saw an ad that caught my eye. The brand – Nail Bliss – was totally new to me. I was attracted to the artwork in the ad which showed detailed, short, matte nails, so I TP’d over to demo. (subtext: good ads work)

Unfortunately, there was no demo available for any of the styles. But, I had high hopes based on the professional ads (IYKYK). I bought two packs at $280L each. I also picked up the LM to the main shop and found a whole host of additional inventory there – but far fewer of the “short almond” variety. I picked up two more packs and headed home to try them on.

What’s in the box? Each pack contained 5 sets of nails for multiple mesh bodies but no HUD or any additional options/colors. It’s one style/pack. Also, to me the nails look significantly longer on my avatar’s hands than in the ads. I would prefer them shorter – the way they look in the event ad.

All in all, these are beautiful, detailed PBR mesh nails. I already went back to pick up another pack and I will collect more if they continue to put out the shorter styles (and/or if I figure out how to shorten them myself).
