Time is Up

Did you see the Golden Globes this past Sunday? As any fashion lover, I always enjoy watching the Red Carpets at various awards ceremonies, and this one was no exception. But this time, nearly all the female attendees were dressed in black in solidarity with other women, as part of the now infamous #MeToo movement that exposes sexual harassment in society. the idea, I think, was to be more than, “what are you wearing?”

I don’t do politics on my SL blog (although I am always happy to debate in person/chat) but I’ll just say that I don’t see this issue as particularly “political.” I see it as shining a light on something women have experienced and had to normalize as “just how it is” through history. The future is female and time is most assuredly up.

I’m still going to tell you what I’m wearing… 😉
