My grandmother always used to say, “as long as you start with good bones.” She didn’t just mean my cheekbones hidden by baby fat at the time; she meant the “bones” of everything – fabric, fashion, houses, gardens, and especially horses.
Good Bones
Meaning, as long as the foundation is solid, the rest was immaterial.
I am not sure what made me think of that this morning, but it suits what I am wearing anyway. This is from AMITOMO, new as a gacha, at Sanarae. The blouse is color change – and the entire ensemble is so carefully detailed. Very good bones indeed.
