What is about to happen?
I knew – of course – that this dress was made in homage to our black and white beauty queen in the epic All About Eve film, which was the first movie where I began to understand the indignities of fading beauty, and the struggle of clinging to relevance. Though I am not wearing “Margo” in black and my avatar’s hair is all wrong, you still know what I’m after.
I can’t help but ponder maybe the deepest question in the entire film from a then unknown Marilyn Monroe (in her film debut), “Why do they always look like unhappy rabbits?” We will never know.
