I wouldn’t necessarily say I keep like, style icons that I emulate or worship. But I definitely have ideals – played by real people – often celebrities, actresses, stylists /rolleyes – who capture those ideals in ways that resonate with me. One of my current favorites for summer is Rachel Zoe. “I DIE!!!“ IYKY.

This look was inspired by rachel’s impossible to replicate bohemian maximalist vibe, probably somewhere on the Amalfi Coast wearing head to toe Versace and eating a single almond while downing a martini. If I were playing the real Rachel, my avatar would be dripping in bracelets and gold necklaces – but since this is my take, I kept it much simpler. Come to think of it, maybe this is more like Jennifer Tilly…ugh my taste in bad TV is showing.

I fell in love with this dress from Pixicat in a much different texture – iridescent gold-ish, which was much more rz-aligned – only available in the fatpack. I couldn’t justify the splurge this time so I picked a pattern as close to the season as possible.

Or as the actual rz might say, “I literally can’t.”
