I have been away for two weeks – on two separate trips – and I am SO happy to be home. Even if it’s only 10 days before I leave again. I styled and took these snaps before I left for my second trip (to Jackson Hole, Wyoming) but had no time (or inspiration if I’m honest), in posting them. Even though I am still uninspired by the snapshots I took, I do really like the style overall.
The idea was to create a look in SL that would – in theory – suit the chilly nights where the real Gillian was headed. In Wyoming, it was in the 90s during the day (I felt like a roast chicken floating down the Snake River on my first “get outside and be in nature day”) – and low 50s at night. Quite a swing.
Incidentally, I have never (no hyperbole) been to a more beautiful part of the US. But, even the jaw-dropping scenery couldn’t completely numb a familiar ache for home. I exhaled when I opened my front door and stepped inside. Travel really makes me appreciate my little corner that is home.
