losing me

I’m feeling a bit lost in SL fashion right now. I check out the new releases and scan the endless weekend sales, but not even my tried and true favorite events offer much inspiration these days. I gravitate to pre-loved inventory, struggling to even find a newer hair I can stand to use. Perhaps it’s time for a real break; recharge something that’s gone a bit flat.

IRL, I have been watching some creepy TV to couple with the season. Have you seen the new Carrie series? This new rendition is really interesting (tho parts of the acting are incredibly hokey) – a mostly new take on a very well known story. I’m also planning to try to watch the original Haunting of Hill House based on the terrifying book by Shirley Jackson. The original movie is black and white, and deeply unsettling.

I love the idea of Halloween but in reality, I am afraid of the dark and watch scary movies mostly through my fingers preferably during the daytime. Like my SL house where it’s always Fall and moody thanks to environments like this one from JuicyBomb Autumn Skies, my new RL house is now decked out with ravens, pumpkins and mums – everywhere. I hope we get a lot of kids, because it will be the first time out of the condo building with our own front door, perfect for knocking!

In closing, I’ll keep an eye out for new items that inspire, but I may be gone while I work up the interest again…we shall see.
