Hey guess what, my blog won’t let me upload images at all again. I really need to get off this terrible hosting service. UGH. I lose all motivation to blog when I can’t have things look the way I want them to.

/removing crankypants to remind you that Hair Fair finishes up on Sunday. This next Hair Fair fave is from Ade. It’s a beauty – though I have never understood the “basic” vs “extended” packaging options. It’s like a whole folder of hair you don’t use if you buy the style pack. Weird! But, you still need to buy it of course. It’s Hair Fair!

For the time being, I have replaced my crankypants with new culottes from David Heather that are worthy substitutes for my all time faves (no longer available). It’s true, I wish there was a classic navy option and a true cream staple, as the DH standard color palette is a little mis-aligned for me. But still I was absolutely delighted to fatpack them anyway. Love!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I will leave you to these blurry, Flickr-hosted embedded snaps, and gtf off my blog before I legit delete it all forever. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

Hair Fair 2025 is in full swing. I picked up several styles and this year, “Vesper” from Exile gets my top spot. Unfortunately my blog troubles prevented me from my usual event preview – but there is no less love for the most important beauty event of the SL calendar.

Hair Fair runs through June 15.

^{_{By the way, I had to dig really deep into my inventory to find jewelry to wear with this look. In the end, I went back to some well-loved items from Yummy, which always work. Remember when I said we had a dearth of well-made bags in Second Life? Well it turns out the real gap is quality jewelry!}}

Wigs for Kids makes such an impact on young people’s self-esteem. It’s a privilege to support this organization through SL and the insanely dedicated team that puts Hair Fair on every year. Hats off! (and wigs on!)

wedding season!?

I know I’ve been gone for a while, but it’s wedding season!

Ok that’s not why DeuxLooks has been dark, but it’s better than the truth, which is not fun for anyone to hear about – or me to talk about. The one thing I will say is that I cannot upload pictures to my blog. Like at all. I’m not taking it well.

So while I nerd rage about another several weeks with a broken blog, I am attempting to post a look I actually styled weeks ago where I was particularly excited about this truly stunning dress, which marked the first PBR-only offering from Jack Spoon. If I read the release notes correctly, the brand now designs exclusively with PBR textures (which can somehow be removed so everyone can still enjoy it). I wish every creator would follow suit! We’re ready, right?

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to see if this will even post. -_-

in case you were wondering

In case you were wondering why my avatar looks extra glowy, it’s because she’s wearing a mix of new BoM glow layers from MILA. Incidentally, I messaged the creator when I didn’t receive the purchase over the weekend and when I discovered it also couldn’t be redelivered. The creator quickly “hand delivered” my purchase to me with a short note of apology. It makes me happy when a brand I am already loyal to provides great customer service too. It ensures I keep shopping there.

_{Yes, I have completely stopped shopping at several very popular brands after bad service. I skip right over them – just like IRL.}

My look was another unplanned experiment with a new tiered lace skirt (also picked it up in a different style pack too) and pretty halter top from (fd). Am I going to milk a cow or have cocktails? Only my avatar knows.

My beautiful ponytail is from Not Found and HURRAY, the creator now includes a numbered color chart so it’s much easier to match your hairbase with the corresponding HUD-controlled ponytail part. Another example of GREATLY improved service. THANK YOU! This seemingly small thing made me so happy when I opened the Fatpack.

Now as per my usual nutso schedule, I am leaving again for another week+ away. I don’t know if I will be back before I leave Sunday, so if not, enjoy a long Memorial Day weekend in the US and a safe, joyful weekend elsewhere!
